Pearl Tail Book Launch Experience

As a number of you know, I had a book launch to celebrate and announce the publishing of Pearl Tail. It was a long journey and I like to thank the many people who did show up in person or online to view the event. If you haven't seen it, you can watch it here below.

It was a great experience and full of various emotions. I had never been so scared and excited at the same time leading up to the day of the launch. For a while I even had nightmares that no one would show up. I'm so glad that those nightmares didn't come true. Even now, I'm still floored that Elle Holt traveled all the way up from Florida to be there to help and support and enjoy the moment with me and my family. Of course when all was said and done, I did learn some valuable things as well that I would like to share.

For anyone who ever plans on having a launch party, know that bad things can, and will happen. No matter how much you prepare, something happens. Traffic, technology, people not showing up on time... things happen. That's all right. People that want to see you succeed will stick by and understand that there are things that are just beyond your control. Just do what you can. I have been to a number of author events where the author is late to the party or things prevented the author from beginning on time. Remember, the author is human and life happens and that is okay :)

Would I have a launch again? I would and I would still do the best I can to make sure everything works. Even then, I'm sure something will still go wrong. After all, as long as Murphy's Law exists, anything that can possibly go wrong, will go wrong.

Happy Writing!
